Show Fountain Green Woman Waits 78th Birthday Mrs. Mercie Collard Ivory of Founta.n Green will observe her ibth b.rtnday anniversay w.th (.pen house at the home of her ;on L. Royal Ivory on April 3rd. All friends of Mrs. Ivory are invited in-vited to call any ti,me during the ay. In tne evening a family dinner will be served at Mrs. .ory s heme. As a baoy Mrs. Ivory came from England with her parents to Founta.n Green. Sue says, "it was a bitter struggle fighting Indians In-dians and grassslioppers." In the year 1879 she married George W. ivory. Mr. Ivory died in 1931. l'hey are the parents of eleven ..r..dr.n, eight boys and three girls, all living. They are: Mrs. na 1. LiV.ngsion, Airs. Geneva Oldroyd, Mrs. Donna McDonald and Reuben Ivory of Salt Lake City; James L. Ivory of Los Ang-eless, Ang-eless, Eugene Ivory, E. Muriel Ivory, L. Royal Ivory, F. Ross ivory, Stanley S. Ivory and E. Clark Ivory of Fountain Green. Mrs. Ivory, who is a nurse, has been an ar.-gel of mercy in many nomes of Fountain Green. She has been in attendance at the jirth of hundreds of babies. She aas also aided many sick ana afflicted. She has been active as a member ot li.ie ward c.iou, president of the Home Economics club, member of the Grandmotn-ei Grandmotn-ei s Chorus, and is always ready to help with comic stunts to entertain en-tertain at almost every social .athering in town. |
