Show Mrs. Ole Hansen Honored On 89th Birthday Anniversary Mrs. Annie B. Larsen Hansen, widow of Ole Hansen, was honored hon-ored at a family gathering Sun ay at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Draper at 290 East Main street, marking her eighty-seventh eighty-seventh birthday anniversary. Mrs. Hansen, whose husband was one of the original settlers of Mt. Pleasant in 1859, has been a local resident since 1872. She was born in Valby, Denmark, June 8, 1854, and remembers we!l the war between Denmark and Germany in 1863-64. when Denmark lost Schleswig-Holstein, and also vividly recalls the bombardment bom-bardment of her native town. In 1864, her parents, James and Lena Larsen, and their three children, emigrated to America. The family lived in Canada, and in Wisconsin and Iowa, and came to Utah in April, 1872. She was married to Mr. Hansen Han-sen in Salt Lake City, October 7, 1872, and came to Mt. Pleasant to live, where Mr. Hansen was a leading business man. He died in March, 1938. Mrs. Hansen has a son and two daughters, Mrs. Flossie H. Petersen Peter-sen of Hyrum, Er.nost Hansen of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Draper of Mt. Pleasant. She also has nine grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. |
