Show Samuel W. Allred Celebrates 70th Birthday June 10th The 70th birthday of Samuel Willis Allred of Spring City was celebrated June 10 by fifty of his lamily and relatives. H.s motner, Mrs. Diantha Allred, 89 years of age, attended the celebration. Mr. Allred was born in Spring City, June 10, 1871, son of Samuel and Elizabeth Diantha Allred. He attended the Spr.ng City schools, the Snow Academy in Ephraim and the Utah State Agricultural Ag-ricultural College in Logan. His occupations has been farming and carpentry for many years. He traveled and worked in several sev-eral states as a sheep shearer. He has been active in Church activities. ac-tivities. At present he is a member mem-ber of the High Priests quorum. In 1896 he served as a counselor counsel-or in the Y. M. M. I. A. to Pres-.dent Pres-.dent Nels Benson of the Spring City ward. In recent years he was justice of the peace. He was married to Charlotte Fredica Mickle in 1894. She and a small baby died a year later. He married Susannah Roundy in i899. She and her baby girl died -n 1900. He married his present iwife Anen a. Christiansen in 1900. Of their lour children, three are living, Boyd, B.vins and Louis Allied. There are five grandchildren. grand-children. Relat.ves from Salt Lake Cit.v. Murray, Nevada and Manti came to Spr.ng City to attend the birthday. |
