Show IMPORTANT CONVENTIONS. ! Utah will entertain during the next several months, hundreds of the most prominent men of the western country who come to this state for the sessions of the Trans-Mississippi Trans-Mississippi Commercial Congress, August 27-30 and the National Irrigation, Irri-gation, Sept. 30 to October 4th. These are two of the most important conventions of 1912 and their coming to Utah will be of immense benefit to the entire state. Numbered among the membership of the two Congresses Congress-es are some of the foremost bankers and business men of the entire country coun-try and when they see for themselves the many opportunities offered for investment in Utah no doubt can exist that immense sums of money will be sent here. Governor William Spry has announced an-nounced the appointment of delegates dele-gates to represent Utah in the Trans-Mississippi Trans-Mississippi Commercial Congress and will make the appointments at an early date of delegates to the National Na-tional Irrigation Congress. Ferdinand Ericksen will represent this city in the first, named meeting and Mt. Pleasant will be equally'well represented in the latter. The governors of twenty-two Western States will attend both congresses. con-gresses. United States Senators, Congressman, Cabinet officials as well as business men, bankers, capitalists capi-talists and others are active members of the two organizations. The continued development of the West is the principal object of the two organizations and Utah, which will act as host, will derive especial benefit from the two Congresses. |
