Show MT. PLEASANT VICTORIOUS i All the Eighth Grale graduates of Sanpete County with their teachers, teach-ers, principals, and Superintendent A. J. Reese met at Ephraim Friday, May 31, 1912, for their Annual Commencement Com-mencement Exercises and Tract Meet. The indoor sports began at 10 o'clock o'-clock and lasted until twelve. After lunch the field sports began and lasted until 3:30. Mount Pleasant carried the day by twenty eight points. The next highest was Ephraim Eph-raim gaining seventeen. The Mount Pleasant boys won the Basket Ball game, the Pole Vault, the first and second in the 100 yard and the 50 yard dash, Howard Strang winning these. Reed Burns won in putting the shot. After the games every one assembled assem-bled in the Academy for the graduating gradu-ating exercises. Professor Howard "R. Driggs, of tne University af Utah, gave the address to the graduates which was very much appreciated by all as Proft Driggs is an eloqtunt. speaker. In the evening a delightful dance was par'icipated in by all in Eph-raim's Eph-raim's elegant New Social Ha'l. |
