Show Miss Mattie Beal and Miss May Justesen of Ephraim have been visiting in Mt. Pleasant during the week. They are guests of Mrs. Willard Barton. Miss Maud Whitehead returned to her home at Provo last Friday. She has been engaged in the millinery mil-linery business in this city for a number of months. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Winkler of Richfield were Mount Pleasant visitors during the celebration held last week. They were guests at the home of Mrs. Winkler's mother, Mrs. Joseph Proctor. Alonzo Clark, operator in the Western Union Telegraph offices at Salt Lake City came home Thursday Thurs-day the 3rd to visit with his mother Mrs. Ferdinand Clark. He returned return-ed to his post last Monday. Miss Ella Nielson of the Utah Conservatory of Music came home to spend the Fourth of July with her mother, Mrs. H. S. Nielson. She returned to Salt Lake last Monday. Mon-day. Miss Nielson is a finished pianist and has accomplished great success with her pupils in the city. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Peterson went to Lehi last week to visit with Mr. Peterson's father. They returned re-turned on Monday after spending the July celebration at that place. Jensen went to Salt Lake on a business trip last monday. P. M. Nielson ar,d most of the school teachers left for Salt Lake City last Monday to attend the N. E. A. Some of the teachers went on Sunday. Mayor James W. Anderson was a Salt Lake visitor during the present week. Miss Ruby Madsen, who has been attending Summer School at Provo during the Summer school course came home to visit with her mother, Mrs. L. P. Madsen. She left on Monday for Salt Lake to attend the N. E. A. George Brand and family returned return-ed last Monday from San Diego, California where they went a few weeks ago expecting to make their future home. Mr. Brand is proud of Mt. Pleasant and thinks it is a better place to live than the sunny parts of California. Miss Eliza Brown came home from San Francisco accompanied by her niece, Miss Lucile Konold. Miss Brown has been on the coast for more than a year. Mrs. H. S. Nielson chaperoned a party of young people last Sunday afternoon while on a trip to the mountains where the new Electric Light and Power plant is in the course of constructioh. After viewing view-ing the system from beginning to end the party partook of the nice luncheon which had been prepared by the ladies for the occasion. Mrs. Nielson is fond of mountain climbing climb-ing and led the party of young people around the side of the mountain and down the pipeline where the water will be converted in to power. It is a beautiful place and they all enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery and cool canyon breezes. Canada Excursion August 5th From Salt Lake City, via Oregon Short Line Railroad.
