member of the LDS Church She taught in most of the church auxiliaries was President of Young Women’s MIA and Relief in both ward and stake served Society a full time mission with her husband to New Zealand from 1966 to 1968 temple ordinance worker 7 years extradition worker 5 years She was a member of the DUP She was employed as a postal clerk for 5 years She is survived by her husband a son Richard B Snow Redding CA 2 daughters Mrs H Wayne (Marilyn) Holt New Castle UT Mrs Dale Estes (Glenda) Belview WA 14 19 great grandchildren grandchildren sister Mrs Laura Nelson Salt Lake A son J wonderful event are Joyce Anderson of Heber City and Paul and Greta Stevens of Fillmore Ruth Allen received a telephone call March 15 from her granddaughter Julie of Orem telling her the Goodman wonderful news that she and her husband Michael were parents of a beautiful baby girl born March 14 1988 at Utah Valley Medical Center Catherine weighed 8 lbs and is 20 ches long She has a sister Melissa who is anxious to share some of the atare Michael’s tention Grandparents Mrs Goodman and Royal parents and Clarice Hurd of Orem Ruth as is happy to be able great grandmother to add another little twig to her family tree Mrs Rex Allen their little son Christopher and Rex’s mother Ruth Ruth and Allen were in Provo March Christopher visited with her daughter Clarice and family the Royal Hurds while Rex and Lynn attended to business They visited briefly with their Denise and daughter and Andrew Adams of Orem Bart Robinson came March 4 to visit his parents Grant and Arleen Robinson He returned to his employment in Salt Lake City March 6 On March 12 Kit Robinson called his parents Grant and Arleen and said they would like to come for a short visit if parents didn’t have other plans Of course they were happy to have their children and grandchildren come The latter especially are delighted to come and see all the fun things on Grandpa’s Kit and Colleen also enjoy farm visiting their parents They returned home the next day Mrs Avalon Johnson made a trip to Provo this past week for a check up with his doctor He says he is getting along well and feeling quite goodimproving every day Fred and Maxine Waddell were 31 with their Mar here Sunday Pam and daughter and Jerry Freeman and sons Robert and Addison The Waddells were traveling from their home in Caddilac MI with a load of boats but were snowed in at Rawlins WY for two days Their visit was short because of the roads being closed in WY They traveled on to Las Vegas and Calif Lee and Diane Hogan came from Salmon ID the weekend of Mar 10 They were guests of her parents Ralph The Hogans’ and Leah Robinson Dardaughter Traci and her husband rel Treasure were also guests of grandcame parents Robinsons The Hogans especially to help Traci and Darrel get their furniture etc to Cedar City where Darrel will be attending SUSC Also here for the same weekend was the Robinson’s son Dale He came at this time especially to attend the wedding March 11 of his friend reception Wayne Haglund and his bride Tracie where Lynn Dale returned to Logan he attends school at USU have Virgie Ivie was sure happy to her brother Clayton Williams of Nephi and their friend Lucille Overson of few Lynndyl come March 7 to spend a hours visiting Virgie prepared dinner for them before they arrived and enshare joyed having some company to her meal Marge Christensen and Ruthmary Brower traveled with other seniors to St George March 12 to attend that ty’s sessions from the Union day They visited Marge’s sisters Elsie BrinkerhofT and Florence Robison and the latter’s husband Howard They enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Robisons Recently Mrs Jay Bunker traveled to St George to visit with Jay’s daughter Shirley Armstrong from Cottonwood AZ who is moving her household goods to Delta where she will live with her sister Raema Bunker The Bunkers enjoyed seeing the trees in bloom in St George and having the nice Inspection Service (APHIS) prepared titled a final programmatic impact statement ‘Rangeland Grasshopper Cooperative Management Program (APHIS FEIS dealing with alternative methods of grasshopper control to be used in APHIS’ cooperative program beginning in 1987 Since the publication of these documents has an additional infestation of grasshoppers been discovered on the east ride of the Canyon Range (See attached map) The proposed treatment of this latest outbreak is tiered to these three documents The changes are that an additional 8500 acres of National Forest land are to be treated with malathion (Carbaryl) bran bait Noscma It is my decision to request assistance from AHPHIS in treating these National Forest land located in T16 & 17 S R3 W No significant adverse environmental pacts including impacts to human health ON are expected The adverse environmental of an uncontrolled grasshopper outcould be greater than the impacts associated with the proposed treatment There are no threatened or endangered species in the treatment area to be affected Impacts to all other resources would be nonsignificant and short term Based on these facts neither an environmental assessment nor an environmental impact statement will be prepared The program will be implemented by APHIS field offices Forest Service personnel will ensure that operational procedures and safety measures are carried out as defined in previously prepared safety plan Mixing and loading of chemicals will be done off the National Forest This decision is subject to administrative appeal pursuant to 36 CFR 2118
