Show HINCKLEY Sharon Western Ph: It was beautiful weather for going "over the river and through the woods” and that is just what we did The grandma in our family lives in Fillmore and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our brothers and sisters people gathered at the Pahvant Senior Citizens Center for our very first James Howard Shumway reunion We hope to make it a family yearly event My Aunt Lula and Uncle Burton McKee joined us and it was a special day for all of us We had a letter from our missionary son Dwight He has been made senior campanion and district leader Mary Shannon and Whitt Lovell and family were weekend guests at our home Visiting at the Verdell Bishop home was Ray and Beverly and family Mike and Marsha Bishop and three children came to spend Thanksgiving with their mother Gertha Bishop They brought a bounteous dinner with them as they did not want their mother to work (that was very thoughtful) Gam and Bonnie Bishop and 4 children also joined the family celebration Thanksgiving guests at the home of Berneice and Leonard Palmer were their daughter Peggy and Steve Witters and four children of Boise Idaho and daughter Debbie of Salt Lake City A large group of friends and relatives met at the home of Linda Riding to shower Paulette Riding Bronson with baby gifts for her expected little bundle Hostesses for the shower were Bronson Linda Riding and Velda Riding all of this city Everyone had a good time and Paulette received many lovely gifts Doug and Dorothy Spencer and their children Yvonne and Brent Spencer Shirley Renolds and Stan and Sandy Spencer recently spent a week on a houseboat at Lake Powell Little Debbile Palmer has the cast off her arm from recent surgery and is doing even better than the doctors pected She is the daughter of Mike and Carol Palmer Carol Palmer visited on the phone with Elaine Frost who now lives in Los Angles She sends her best wishes to her friends here She misses them a lot! Cedar City a week ago in a duel meet between Delta and Cedar City All the team did well with several swimmers placing 1st At the time of this printing complete results of the duel meet had not been turned in The Delta Torpedoes next swim competition will be a large meet called the Water Otter Invitational at Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake City on December 15 Saturday Mr & Mrs Gary Dutson visited in Leamington with Mary Sue’s parents Mr & Mrs Gale Chapman Bill Dutson stopped to visit with his parents on his way to Nevada with a load of lime for a power plant there He also stopped on his way back from Nevada for a while He had to stop at the cement plant for a load of cement He drives for Savage Bros Mr & Mrs Reed Nielson spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Salt Lake City with their
