Show Millard s i v--, j Oldest Resident j Dies at ' , ?i 35 Years S j Of Age I : 1 Hans' Oliver Sorenson, 95, Leamington, Leam-ington, Millard county, died Friday at 10 a.m. at the home of a daughter, daugh-ter, Annie B. McKellar, 1431-4th East, of a heart ailment. Born in Norway, July 14, 1849, Mr. Sorenson was a son of Tollev S. and Annie M. Hansen' Sorenson. He came to Utah 74 years ago and was a retired Utah farmer. He was an active member of the LDS I church and an active temple work-ler. work-ler. He was superintendent of the Leamington Sunday school for 14 years. Mr. Sorenson was rnarried three times during his life; none ef his wives survive. They were Karen Ka-ren Christensen, Bertha Rorstrom and Annie M. Hendrickson. Survivors include three sons: Hyrum E. Sorenson, Leamington; .Joseph L. Sorenson, Yuba City, Cal., i and Heber E. Sorenson, Murray; three daughters, Mrs. Hilma E. Clark, Lynndyl, Millard county; Mrs. Annie B. McKellar and Mrs. Alice A. Phillips, Salt Lake City, a brother and two sisters as last reported re-ported in Norway; 60 grandchildren, grandchild-ren, seven grandsons in the armed forces, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Whit-tier Whit-tier LDS ward, 2nd East and Kensington Ken-sington ave., by Leo Jardine, bishop. bi-shop. Additional funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Leamington LDS ward. Burial will be in Leamington cemetery. |
