Show Oak City Mother Dies Monday At Family Home Mrs. Martha Lizette Theobald Alldredge, 81, wife of William I. Alldredge, of Oak City, died at the family home Monday, April 2, after af-ter a lingering illness. She was born August 7, 1869, at Duncan's Retreat, Washington Co., a daughter of Arthur and Jane Burgess Theobald, earl Utah Pioneers. Pion-eers. As a girl she moved to Hinckley, Hin-ckley, Millard County, where her family was among the early settlers. set-tlers. On Dec. 24, 1889, she was married mar-ried to Mr. Alldredge, and Jan 29, 1894, the couple received their endowments en-dowments in the Manti temple,. Their early married life was spent at Hinckley, and in 1909 the family fam-ily moved to Oak City, where they have resided since. They celebrated celebrat-ed their 61st wedding anniversary there last December. She was the mother of twelve children of.whom nine are surviving. Survivors are her husband, at Oak City, and the following children: child-ren: John, Clifton and Mervyn Alldredge, All-dredge, Oak City; Emis Alldredge, Sunset, Utah; Adrain Alldredge, of Delta; Mrs. Doris Abbott, Sugar-ville; Sugar-ville; Mrs. Verna Webb, Hinckley, and Mrs. Wanda Roper and Mrs. Lilly Roper, Provo; a brother, T. George Theobald, Hinckley, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Talbot, Oak City, and Mrs. Emma Spendlove, Hinckley; 45 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Oak City LDS ward chapel, by Burnis Finlinson, bishop. Friends may call at the family home Thursday from 11 a. m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Oak City cemetery, under the direction of t N Nickle and sons mortuary, Delta. |
