Show Hinckley Pioneer Matron Dies At 81 Years of Age Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Han-nah May Wright Reeve were held on Mother's Day, May 9, at 2:00 p. m., in the Hinckley Ward Chapel, Chap-el, with Bishop Verdell Bishop conducting. con-ducting. . Mrs. Reeve died early Thursday morning, May 6, at her home in Hinckley. This was only six days after her eighty-first birthday, as she was 81 on May 1. Surviving Mrs. Reeve are the following fol-lowing children. Robert W. Reeve, Heber City; William A. Reeve, Mourtland, California; Arthur H. Reeve, Hinckley; Elford Reeve, Hinckley; Rena and Josephine Reeve, Reno, Nevada; Myrtle R. Hampton, Maybell, Colorado; Minerva Min-erva Anderson, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Fern Hepworth and Esther Swensen, Hinckley. She is also survived by one brother, bro-ther, Mr. John Ed. Wright, of Hinckley, Hin-ckley, as well as 51 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Reeve was born in Virgin City, Utah, May 1, 1867, a daughter daugh-ter of Alexander and Hanna Walters- Wrieht. On January 19, 1888, she was married in the St. George Temple to William A. Reeve, who died in 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Reeve made their home in Hinckley in 1892, and lived liv-ed here and in Abraham since that date. They were among the first people to come to this area and have done much to build up Millard Mil-lard County. The funeral services included numbers in the order listed: "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", sung by the Hinckley Ward Choir, accompanied by Ruth Talbot and May -Cropper, led by Ladd Cropper; Crop-per; Prayer, - J. Leslie Wright, a nephew of the deceased; A talk was given by Hugh Hilton; a vocal voc-al solo, "Going Home" was then sang by Erma Cropper, accompanied accompan-ied by Roma Ekins; then remarks were given by Sarah Slaughter, an old friend of Mrs. Reeve's. Ladd Cropper then sang "The End of A Perfect Day" and then Nels Petersen Pet-ersen gave a talk. The choir sang, "O My Father" and closing prayer was offered by Karl Workman, another an-other nephew of Mrs. Reeve's. Interment was in the Hinckley cemetery, under the direction of L. N. Nickle and Sons Mortuary, with the grave being dedicated by T. George Theobald. |
