Show ROBINS STEED Are United In Temple Rites A lovely bride of the holiday season was Miss Maurine Robins, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken-ith Ken-ith R. Robins. Her marriage to Mr. Blaine G. Steed, of Los Angeles, was solemnized Wednesday, Dec. 28, in the Manti temple. They were honored at a reception and dance that evening in the Delta high school gymnasium. The blonde bride wore a majestic maj-estic cream-colored satin wedding gown trimmed with seed pearls, with a double flowing veil of net. Her bouquet was heart-shaped, of white carnations around an orchid. In the receiving line with the bridal couple were their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robins and Mr. and Mrs. Blaine R. Steed of Los Angeles and members of the bridal party. The bride attended by her aunt, Mrs. Sebrina Ekins, as matron of honor, and three cousins, Miss Glenda Cropper, Miss lone Hilton and Miss Patricia Pratt, as bridesmaids. brides-maids. They were gowned in orchid, or-chid, matching the formal worn by the bride's mother. , The three little misses that marched mar-ched in the procession and held the bride's long train were Shirlev Rae Iverson, Connie Cropper and Margaret Ekins. PROGRAM Ladd R. Cropper, uncle of the bride, was master of ceremonies for the program that was given. Vocal numbers were given by Lee Ray McAllister, the trio, Glenda Cropper, Crop-per, lone Hilton, and Carol Moody, and two solos by Mr. Cropper. An interpretive dance, "The Fountain" was given by Delta high school girls, Jessie Lynn Cook, LaRae Ches ley, Carol Dawn Sorenson, Dorothy Black, Carolyn Callister, Carma Clo thier, Doreen Moody and Muriel Skidmore. Refreshments were served from a large table lit with green tapers, presided over by Mrs. W. B. Pratt. The tiered wedding cake in white and silver formed the centerpiece. Mrs. R. P. Hilton was in charge of the gift tables. Wedding guests from out-of-town were Mr. Steed's parents, and his sister, Mrs. Barbara Bayker, of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Rob ins and Mrs. George Staple, of Ogden; Mrs. Verda Barton and Mrs. La Von Dickson, from Mid vale; Mrs. Faye Brown and Mrs. Rosa Robins, of Draper; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Robins, of Fillmore, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Stevens of Holden, Mr. and Mrs. Lee B. Pratt, from Malta, Ida.; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hilton of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hilton of Salt Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. Garn Moody, of California and Supt. and Mrs. A. M. Maughan of Fillmore. AT HOME IN LOS ANGELES The new Mr. and Mrs. Steed left for Los Angeles the following day, where they will make their home. Mr. Steed will continue his studies at the Woodbury College in Los Angeles, and the bride will continue contin-ue her few needed hours of college coll-ege to come back and be graduated graduat-ed from the BYU in June. The bride groom's parents will hold a reception recept-ion for them in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Stake House. |
