H Christensen died inthe in inthe inthe the hospital In Salt Lake City at 1145 p p. p m. m last Wednesday of complications blowing an opera opera- tion Mr Christensen had been in inthe inthe the hospital for mox n l two I months He was s S y y 4 ge Mr Christensen was was Afan an 2 1887 in Oak City a a. s J An Anthony Anthony Anthony An- An thony and Castine Lovell li isten sten- sten sen He was married in December 1913 to Miss Leah Bennett of Holden Holden Holden Hol Hol- den and their family home since has been their farm on the South Tract Mr Christensen was an active active active ac ac- ac- ac tive worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held po positions of leadership in the priesthood and the various auxiliary auxiliary iary ary organizations He was counselor counselor counselor coun coun- in the bishopric of the Delta Third Ward and later served as bishop for 15 years He filled three stake mission and in 1926 served a short term mission in Minnesota Mr Christensen was-one was of the early settlers on the South Tract coming in when the country was being opened for cultivation He was one of the workers on the di diversion diversion diversion di- di version dam and anda a member of the crew who kept on the alert when it t was in danger of going out He was active in the community welfare welfare welfare wel wel- fare a good friend and neighbor and esteemed by all who knew him himas as a man of integrity and sincerity He is survived by his widow and seven sons and daughter Gordon Christensen Salt Lake City Mrs Mildred Church Talmadge Christensen Christensen Christensen Christ Christ- ensen Balard Christensen Homer Christensen and Gay Christensen all of Delta and nine grandchildren There are also brokers brothers brothers bro bro- kers and sisters John A A. R Woodbury Many friends of the family from out of town attended the services and all the brothers and sisters of Mr and Mrs Christensen were here excepting Jos M.
