Jacobson Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Alice A. Jacobson, wife of William Jacobson, of Oak City, were conducted con-ducted Friday at 2 p. m. in Oak City ward chapel by Thomas K. Pratt. Prelude and postlude music was played by Thelma W .Dutson, organist. or-ganist. The opening song "Oh My Father", was sung by the ward choir. Prayer was offered by Peter Nielson. The choir sang "Through Deepening Trials". A life history was given by Mrs. Maggie Elder, followed by a musical mus-ical reading "Beyond the Sunset", by Margaret Roper, with organ accompaniment ac-companiment by Afton Roper. Mrs. Mae H. Shipley gave a neighbors' tribute. A talk on early association was given by Joseph Anderson. "Whispering Hope" was sung by the trio, Beth Nielson, Norda Roper Rop-er and Meredith Anderson, accompanied accom-panied by Thelma Dutson. Jay Nelson of Deseret Stake Presidency Pre-sidency spoke words of comfort and counsel from the gospel and of the high regard in which Mrs. Jacobson had been held throughout through-out a truly Christian life. Eldon Sorenson and Evan Christen Chris-ten sang "Going Home", accompanied accom-panied by Eldonna Anderson. Closing Clos-ing prayer was by Joshua Finlin-son. Finlin-son. Burial was in tfie Oak City fceme tery, where the grave was dedicated dedic-ated by Evan Jacobson. |
