Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Mrs. Esther Johnson and Mrs. Josephine Bishop, of Salt Lake City, visited Saturday and Sunday With friends and relatives in Oasis. The Square Dance Monday night sponsored by the Oasis Garden Club, was well attended and a good time enjoyed by all. The bake sale was a success, with cakes, cookies, rolls and candy being be-ing disposed of with dispatch. The Garden Club appreciates the fine response. Funds raised at the dance dan-ce will go to beautify the church grounds. Mrs. Amy Brinkerhoff, of Beaver, visited over the week end with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Mor-gan Howell and family. Monday she went on to Provo. Mrs. Florence Williams and two girls, from Tooele, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leland Williams. They also attended Sunday school. Mrs. Williams has received word her son, Grant, is in the USA again ag-ain after seeing service in Korea, and he will be released to come home some time this week. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bishop and family spent last Saturday in Provo Pro-vo with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Reynolds, whose son, Van Reynolds, has recently been killed in action in Korea. First word was that he was missing in action, but last Sunday the message came that he was killed. His father is quite ill, and Mr. and Mrs. Bishop went to Provo again Wednesday to help care for him, and Mrs. Reynolds Rey-nolds is an invalid with arthritis. |
