Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harris left I Friday night for Lynndyl, where I Mr. Harris is working on tie switch engine. Mrs. E. L. Smith and two daughters daugh-ters left Tuesday morning on No. 14 for a week's visit with Mrs. Smith's folks at Franklin, Idaho. Mrs. and Mrs. William Cochrane had as their guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Gospill and daughter daugh-ter Gladys. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gospill and Robert Cheatham. Myles Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Davis, returned Saturday Satur-day from an extended stay in California Cali-fornia and is working with his father fa-ther for the McGarrys at Frisco. Mark Waddoups, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. Waddoups, arrived in Mil-ford Mil-ford Monday morning from Ingle-wood. Ingle-wood. California. This is his second sec-ond visit home since he left Mil-ford Mil-ford some six vears ago. i : Mrs. Geortre Jefferson and sons. Richard and Tommy, left Sunday for Los Angeles. From there they will proceed to Mesa, Arizona, for : a more extended visit with Mrs. Jefferson's sister and family. Mrs. Roy Firmage entertained 25 little girls Sunday afternoon in . honor of the birthdays of her two daughters which come on the same day. Little Betty Jane was six years old and Ruth Evelyn was five years old. A number of friends called on Mrs. Myron Lewis Sunday, the occasion oc-casion being her birthday. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent and refreshments were served to Me-S'lanies J. R. Murdock jr., Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen, Leonard Bowen, Walter Weber, E. L. Smith, J. M. Hughes, J. M. Williams and J. A. Weston. Mrs. William Cochrane entertained enter-tained the Saturday Afternoon Bridge club at her home with Mrs. Douglas Ryan winning first high score prize, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. second high score prize and Mrs. M. If. Pool third high score prize. Others present were Mrs. C. W. Cate . Mr. George Fernley, Mrs. Ru-i-lr-h NieNen and Mrs. J. M. Williams. Twenty students will enter the ,".r.n::al oratorical content sponsor-id sponsor-id by the local American Legion Auxiliary on Armistico day. The topic-; selected are "Our School I and Constitution", "The Duty of a Citizen", and "The Spirit of Armistice". Ar-mistice". Mrs. Peterson is the attractive attrac-tive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jefferson, former residents of Milford, who left here some time ago, and a niece of former fenator George Jefferson, whose guests they are while in Milford. Randsburg, a newly active California Cali-fornia mining town, is the present home of the Fred Jeffersons, who formerly lived in Nevada City. I |
