Show jProgressiveTicket j Is Only One Filed First outward display of interest inter-est in the coming municipal election elec-tion was evidenced Tuesday with the circulation and extensive signing sign-ing of a petition nominating a Progressive ticket, headed by Waltir V.. Martin, incumbent president presi-dent of the Milford town board of trustees. .Signatures of sixty-odd citizens were attached to the petition peti-tion as it was filed with Vernon M. Burns, town clerk. Candidates for trustees on the Progressive ticket include I- B. Waddingham. William B. Gardner, Theodore Kronholm and Milton H. Pool. All candidates are members mem-bers of the present town board with the exception of Mr. Pool, local merchant. The name of Willis Wil-lis Whitbeck, barber, present member of the board, does not appear ap-pear on the 1941 Progressive ticket. There har 'bejen. rumors and rumors of rumors concerning opposing op-posing tickets and partial tickets, but there are no definite developments develop-ments to date. The Milford municipal election will be held Tuesday, November 4. and, to appear on the official ballot to be used in the election, it is necessary that nominations be filed with the town clerk not less than 15 days before the election' date, as The News understands the law governing town elections. v |
