Show Delta Man Aspires To Be State Senator Rulon T. Hinckley of Delta, one of ttie two candidates for the Republican Re-publican nomination as state senator from the eighth district, comprising Beaver and Millard counties, was in Beaver county this week, getting acquainted with voters preliminary to the primary election next Tuesday, September Septem-ber 1. He was accompanied by El-don El-don A. Eliason of Deseret, one of the most promising young men of the southern part of the state, who is a member of Mr. Hinckley's campaign committee. Mr. Hinckley has a long record public office as city mayor, councilman, coun-cilman, teacher, farmer and livestock live-stock raiser, church leader and puiblic spirited' citzen. He is a son of Alonzo A. Hinckley, early settler of Millard county, and was iborn at historic Cove Fort. He was educated in the schools of Millard county, at the Utah State State Agricultural college and Brigham Young university. 'He spent three years in Europe following the first World war and is a loyal member of the American Legion. V |
