Show o MINERSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL School has been going on a month now and the classes are all organized and everything is on the road to making a success of school in 1 933-3 1. Assemblies The different classes will give their assemblies as follows: October' 13 Student body officers, j October 20 Ninth grade. October 27 Eleventh grade. November 3 Seventh and Eighth grade?. November 10 Tenth grade. November 17 Twelfth grade. Student Body Assembly, October 20 Prayer, LaPriel Baker. Song by assembly, high school song, led by Ida Richards. Jokes, Wells Roberts. Reading, Annis Goff. Trumpet solo, Clark Hall. 1 Mr. and Miss Price, "Feeding the ! pips." Mr. Peason then sang his favorite song, "I Wish It Were Sunday i Night." Vaudis Carter and Eva Marshall contested chewing the string, in which Eva was winner. Mr. Isaacson then played "Far, far away", on the violin so f:ir we could not hear him. Clark Gillins then made a proposal to Virginia Rehnstrom, in which she readily accepted him. Miss Carlson and Marshall Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead had a contest of drinking milk out of a nipple. Marshall, probably prob-ably being around cows more than she, won the candy prize. Basketball Games This last week the school has been having class series of basketball. The faculty and seniors played Monday Mon-day night for the championship. The score was 15-18 in favor of the faculty, it proved to be very excit-i excit-i ing. The 9th grade played the 8th I grade for consolation place, the fl'h i coming out the victor. o |
