Show Lions Hosts at Dinner and Dance Members of the Milford Lions club were hosts to the ladies at a dinner Thursday evening at the Union Pa- cific dining room. A dance at the Odd Fellows hall followed the dinner. Dr. C. R. Parrish and H. S. Chanslor were the committee in charge of the affair. ' Mrs. Gleason is Hostess Mrs. Earl Gleason was hostess to the Wednesday Evening club at her home last week. Bridge furnished the divertissement for the. evening I with Mrs. Joe Hanlon winning the high score. Refreshments were ser-' ser-' ved to the following ladies; Mrs. Otto j Melcher, Mrs. R. Malstrom, Mrs. B. j B. E. Hutchins, Mrs. John Hanlon, i Mrs. J. Jeffers, Mrs. Jos Hanlon, and Mrs. Chas Sportsman. Weiner Roast at Cedars An enjoyable evening was spent Tuesday when ' a group of Milford people went on a picnic to 'The Cedars.' The site of the picnic was a wooded spot a few miles west of town on the road to the old Wild Bill mine. The motor party which made the trip was composed of Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Wilcox, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Tribole and children, Mrs. Janie Moore, Rev. and Mrs. Homer Root, and mother, Mrs. Ida Root and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Cottrell. Music was furnished by a victrola A fire was built and weiners were roasted. The group drove back to Milford late in the evening. South Milford Club The Social Hour Club of South Milford met with Mrs. Gospill at Anoka Ranch, Tuesday, May 3. Mrs. A. C. Nebeker, local Project Leader of the U. A. C. Extension Division, gave a brief review of our color work and then assisted the ladies in the actual working phases of rugs, both hooked and crocheted. The delicious refreshments served by the hostess called forth many happy exclamations for, the color artistry displayed, adding zest to a most pleasant afternoon spent by the club. The guests of the hostess were Mesdames Bird, Hancctt, Fisher, Pocock and Robinson. -Ths next meeting will be, at the club Wuse on May 17, when the use of Duco paint for decorative purposes pur-poses will be demonstrated.
