THE PEDESTRIAN HAS THE RIGHT OF WAY AT ALL CROSSWALKS The Milford City Ordinance Reads: The driver of a vehicle shall yield Ihe right of way, slowing down or slopping if need be io so yield, to a pedestrian crossing the roadway wilhin a crosswalk in a caulious and prudent manner when the pedestrian is upon lhat half of roadway upon which the vehicle is traveling, or when ihe pedestrian is approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger; but no pedestrian shall suddenly leave a curb or other place of safely and walk or run into the path of a vehicle which is so close as io constitute an immediate hazard. THIS ORDINANCE WILL BE ENFORCED STARTING NOW PEDESTRIANS THERE IS ALSO A CITY ORDINANCE WHICH PROHIBITS JAY-WALKING. USE THE PEDESTRIAN LANES WHEN CROSSING STREETS.
