Show This Week In MINERSVILLE. By Mrs. Albateen Roberts Allen Jameson was honored with a birthday party Friday, Nov. 14th, by his parents. 26 guests enjoyed the happy event Allen is now 11 years old. Games were played, and at 4:30 Fred O'Leary, section foreman fore-man at Thermo, showed movies of Woody Woodpecker, color pictures of his family and beautiful beau-tiful canyons in this area. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Jameson. Joseph Eyre has been confined con-fined to his bed with the flu for the past week. His sister, Paulina Paul-ina Carter, has been nursing him. Mrs. Lloyd Mathews returned home after spending 10 days in Salt Lake City receiving medical med-ical care at the General Hospital. Hos-pital. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Gillins announce the marriage of their daughter Donna, to Mr. Louis Moser of North Dakota. Donna is a graduate of Beaver High School. Louis has returned from service with the paratroops. para-troops. 9 Mrs. Colleen Farnow and family of Las Vegas, have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Myers. The Rattler and Creole, two old Beaver County mines, have been leased by Phil D. Roberts. He has begun mining operations and for the first time in 35 years ore from these mines has b.en shipped to the smelter. C Mrs. Bill Baker recently entertained en-tertained the Sewing Club from MiUeid. Present were Mrs. Myrtle Tribole, Mrs. Inez Tanner, Tan-ner, Mrs. An is Openshavv, Mrs. Nina Bingham, Mrs. Cora Jones, Mrs. Theresa Pitcn'xorth, Mrs. Laura Delgardo. They enjoyed chatting and sewing, and nice .c-frcshinents were served. 9 Mrs. Ellen Fcx and son Jim were here from Too.le recently seeing after Mrs. Fox's belong ings here. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre made a trip to Ogden to visit their son and daughter. a Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mott and family of Greenville were here Saturday visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Mott is a daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Jennie Marquardson. Our Second and Third grade teacher, Mrs. Gladys Buoy, who has been living in the Wayne Mathew home, has moved to the Gus Hooten farm in South Milford. Vendon Myers its building a new addition to his home and snack bar. 9 Phil D. Roberts and Mr. Perry of Cedar City motored to Salt Lake Sunday on mining business. busi-ness. Mrs. Arbiteen Davis is selling her home here and moving to Milford to be near her children, Jack and Dixie. Wayne Gillins is purchasing the home. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshal Mar-shal entertained at a class party Saturday night, for the teacher and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Fishe;-, and students La-i'ae La-i'ae Dalton, Jeanie Eyre, Penny Patterson, Betty Wood, Nancy Mars-hall, Nancy Dotson, Douglas Doug-las Albrecht, Billy Failes, Billy Gerrctt, Spencer Gray, Scott Peaison. Heber Davis, Vance Weed, and Ciinton Boyter. S Dan Roberts and his brother Paul spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Roberts. Ted and Billy Garrett spent Thanksgiving in Salt Lake with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil James. Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine De-Mille De-Mille stopped over night with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. K. Jameson, en route to their home in Henderson, Nev. They had been to Salt Lake with their little daughter Karma Kar-ma who received hospital care and medical aid. |
