Butterfield, By LuDeen Petersen The Utah Road Commission began work on appraising property on the west side of the street, between 13th South and 33rd South. Construction on the widening of 7th East between S. Temple and 13th South is scheduled to begin this summer. In that section, part of the right of way is wide enough, and the remainder is already owned by the city of Salt Lake and can be obtained from the east edge of Liberty Park. Road commission engineers expect that the appraisal work between 13th and 33rd South will take at least a year to complete. Later, as funds are made avail e able, the highway will be to 45th South, and four- extended lane construction from there to Draper crossroads, with provision for adding two more lanes as the need arises.
