Other California interests visited were Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and the Palo Alto Stables in San Francisco. William H. Gardner and James A. Eight year old Sharolyn Wood, daughter of Mr & Mrs Vance Wood, celebrated her birthday Monday, Mar. 12, with a party given by her mother for a group of Sharolyn's young friends who enjoyed games and refreshments. They visited with the wife of Mr McDougal who left West Jordan some time ago to live in Arizona for her health. Mr Gardner also visited with a daughter, Melba, while in Arizona. Guests at the home of Mr & Mrs Hershel Green Sunday was Miss Nita Crighton. Miss Crighton is a recent convert to the LDS church from South Africa and is now living in Utah. While a visitor in West Jordan Miss Crighton was special guest speaker at the Sunday School 4 class of the year old boys and girls of the Third Ward of West Jordan, puring the afternoon she was a dinner guest of Mr & Mrs Hershel Green and family. Four priesthood members of the West Jordan Third Ward attended the special priesthood excursion of the Salt Lake Temple last Saturday. Those in attendance were Willard Turpin, Roy Bateman, Donald Hogan, and Paul Green. Daughters of Mr & Mrs Earl P. Bateman, and their families were guests at the home of their parents Sunday afternoon. They are Mr & Mrs Reed (Joyce) Harding and Mr & Mrs Wayne (Leola) Durante. Kay Groom, son of Mr & Mrs Golden Groom, was discharged last week from the navy where he has served for the past four years. Kay has served in Korea and recently has been stationed on the West Coast. Mr & Mrs Kenneth Williams attended the dedication of the newly erected Los Angeles Temple dur Center (Helen) Haun, 225 Sixth Ave., Mid-valt, Mr Albanese was born in son of 21, 1892, a Italy, July Gennaro and Teresangelo Fiano Albanese. He came to Utah as a young man and made his home in West Jordan. Burial was in the West Jordan cemetery. Mr Lundquist died Wednesday at 2:15 in a Salt Lake hospital after an illness. He was born July 13, 1883, in Upsala, Sweden, to Carl John and Alma Caroline Carlson Lundquist. He was married to Ivy L. Hibbard, Mar. 13, 1907. She died Oct. 3, 1951. Later he married Beatrice Prinne on Mar. 17, 1952. Mr Lundquist was former director of the South Jordan Canal and former manager of West Jordan Milk Association, and a member of the LDS church. Survivors are his mother; widow; sons and daughter: Barney, West Jordan; Floyd A., San Diego; Zelma Moon, Salt Lake; LaDonna Hansen and Vyrl Yates, Murray, and Vaudis Myers, Rialto, Calif .; 22 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
