You can't score a lot of points if you don't have the ball and that's exactly what Bingham discovered when it ran up against Cottonwood's wishbone offense last week. The Colts, who won 12-- 7 at home Thursday, utilized most.of the first half with two long drives f for touchdowns and deprived the Miners of a chance to come back late in the game by eating up the final 5'- minutes with another long march. "Our execution was the key," said Cottonwood Coach Tom Jones. "The kids executed the offense extremely well for a first game." One area Jones felt the team did not perform up to its potential, however, was pass defense, which allowed 94 yards on seven of 12 completions. He said the team would work on that aspect of its game this week in preparation for an accurate Hillcrest QB that threw the ball over 4 loss to 30 times last week in a Highland (Idaho). The game, which is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. tomorrow (Friday), will be played at Alta high due to problems with the Huskies' home field. Bingham will travel to Judge tomorrow for a 5 p.m. date with the Bulldogs.
