Contest papers .in penmanship wen submitted for awards by the studen~ ' of the Draper School on Friday Apri: 1st. A high standard of penmanship :1as already been attained, and at this writing, several students are trying >ut to ~arn professional business and ·tigh school diplomas. It is considered likely that at least .hree will win this high honor. In the p::m ltrymen's meeting held on L r·ch 21st, a resolutiQn was unani.llously adopted, to sell cull hens and cockerells co-operatively. The plans of the committee appointed according to the motion are to have the hens listed at the warehouse as has been the case formerly and sale will be properly made for the entire community. Some poultrymen who were not in attendance at the meeting may not understand that the resolution was passed, but all knaw full well that in ~o-operaticm we do not compete aJainst each other to reduce prices. The resolution pertaining to married women is intended to afford them a year to adjust themselves to the change. Some are already planninn~hei~ activities in the chicken business as private tutors, and other lines. In the building program, the needs of Junior High Schools at Midvale, at Sandy and Draper are to be met, all three schools now being over-crowded This program will provide Junior High School accommodat ions for fivE of the large valley schools and will put the Junior High School plan definitely in vogue in Jordan District. . ~ RIVERTON Mrs. N.
