She has played on the basketball, volleyball, track and tennis teams. This year she was named Acain tennis. Mardemic garet has competed on the Speech team and recently placed second at an invitational, she also has one of the lead parts in the MHS spring play Cheaper by tire dozen. She plays the violin in the school Orchestra. Robbie Hansen has been involved with many school activities. He lias played on MHS sports teams and has been a very successful athlete. Robbie has lettered in basketball and is now coaching his brothers Junior Jazz team. He has participated on the track team and is currently on the Varsity wrestling team. He recently placed fifth at the lnvitational in San Juan. Robbie has played football for four years now and has lettered three of those years. He received a Coaches Award his sophmore year and was chosen this year to play on the team. He has been invited to participate in the Down Under Bowl which is an football team that will play in Australia this sum- - All-Sta- ys Margaret has main- Four-Come- rs All-Regi- on all-st- ar te mer. Robbie not only excels in athletics, he is also outstanding m academics. He has maintained a high grade point average all through high school and recently scored a 28 on the ACT. He will graduate this year with nine college credits. He plans to attend college and major in engeneering. In his free time, Robbie simply enjoys being with his friends and doing anything that involves being outdoors. Margaret Burnham is tained a 4.0 GPA through out middle school and high school. Slie has written winning essays that have earned her a trip to California and to the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge. She has attended Bussiness week and Girls State. This year Margaret is serving as the mayor for the Ephraim Youth City Council and as an assis- tant editor for the Templar Trumpet this year's student body secratary. Margaret has always Drill Team takes 1st at State By: Margaret Burnham Girls were dancing, music was playing, and the crowds were cheering as the Templarettes danced themselves to victory! For the first time the Manti High School Drill Team brought home the state title. All the hard work definitely paid off at state, mentioned senior Mindy Evans. As the awards were an- nounced, Manti waited iously to hear their name. anx- When they announced it, everyone made a huge mosh pit, The Templarettes celebrate after becoming 2A State Champions jumping and screaming and crying for joy, exclaimed Melanie Whipple. Sharlie Andersen added that, "The best part was beating Millard despite a penalty and watching their faces as they received third place in Novelty! Many of the younger teammates cant wait until next year as they hope to capture the title again. I never knew drill team would be this great Its something Ill never forget said Hayden Parry.
