BLODGETT EDITOR The first Primary Presidential Election of the new Millennium in Utah - and the first ever in the state - is tomorrow - Friday, March 10. Its something new for Utahns to go to the polls as early as March, but thats die way it is this year. Registered voters (residing in Salt Lake County) 18 years of age and older can go to one of numerous voting sites throughout the county Friday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. You must vote party line - that is Democratic, Republican or Independent American. Three dis- tinctly marked ballots list the names of the candidates. Republicans will have five candidates from which to choose. WVC extends Waste Management contract West Valley City has extended its Waste Management agreement for collection of residential waste for one year beginning July 1 , and one additional year if desired. The current weekly collection rate of $2.61 per home per month for the first garbage container - an increase of 56 cents per home per month. Costs of most neighboring communities range from $3 to $5 per month. Grizzlies raise nearly $20.000 for charities The Utah Grizzlies raised $19,562 for local charities at its annual g event held at the Hard Rock Cafe. Grizzly players turned in their skates and hockey sticks for for aprons as they worked as' waiters and bartenders for the evening March 4.
