Proceeds from the breakfast, which featured, eggs, ham, pancakes and juice cooked j and served by local members of the Lion's Club, will go toward the construction of a new Christmas Box House in Ogden. . "Any kind of project we can help with in the community we want to be there' said Bob Burke, president of the Hunter Lion's Club. 'We take our cook trailer anywhere we are needed." Harmon's donated all of the food used in the breakfast cooked by the Lion's Club. . "It is a real worthy cause," Harmon said. "I can't think of many other organizations that help young people who are in the worst situations they are in." The Ogden Christmas Box House is expected to help 26 abused children per day and provide a temporary home for those children removed from situations of abuse and neglect. , ' 4 jesci 7- 1 G o The Christmas Box House is a p assessment shelter for children at risk. It was founded by Author Richard Paul Evans as a safe haven for children who have been removed from their homes. The Ogden facility is expected to cost $1.1 million. The Harmon's fundraiser breakfast was expected to raise about $15,000. Last year the annual breakfast raised $10,662 for the Salt Lake City Christmas Box House shelter. For those who missed the breakfast, contributions may be made to the Christmas Box House by buying a paper brick for $1 at all participating Harmon's locations. one-ste- , -- ! The Child Abuse charge came from evidence of healing broken ribs found when Physicians at Primary Childrens Hospital were treating Ranee when she was first brought in. Anderson was tending the victim and three other children. Friday Sept. 7, when Ranee began vomiting and lost consciousness. Ranee died late Sunday after being on life support for two days. The State Medical Examiner determined at an autopsy that the death of Ranee Neiman was the result of abuse, blunt force trauma to the back of her head. Detectives arrested Garritt Kent Anderson, 22, Tuesday evening.
