It Morton, for many years station agent for tho Oregon Shoit Lino in this city, died Thursday afternoon after-noon of pneumonia, following Influenza. Influ-enza. Mr. Morton has become almost a household figure with the O, S. L. and likewise with the business men ot Logan ,on account of his long service ser-vice In his official capacity, and when news of his death was made known thoro was genernl mourning throughout through-out tho city. Probably no man lit business llfo In the city will bo more generally missed and few will bo Inoro universally mourned. Mr. Morton was one of thoso .straightforward, outspoken fearless characters that all men wero pioud to know. He was a genuine booster and many a- tlmo has followed Jho football and basketball teams of tho U. A. C. and 13. Y. C. throughout the state, und has always been first and foremost In tholr defense. He was loyal to hvs home town, a dignified digni-fied gentleman and a kind and loving lov-ing father The sympathy ot the entire en-tire community goes out to the be-'reaved be-'reaved wife and two sons who survive sur-vive him. Funeral services will be held Sunday Sun-day at 2 o'clock and will consist of a short service at the Presbyterian church, followed by, services under the direction ot tho Masonic lodge at the cemetery. |
