Show HUGH ADAMS NUMBERED WITH SILENT DEAD Logan Is once more called upon to part with ono of hor oarly pioneers and respected citizens In tho passing of Hugh Adams, father of Bishop John Q. Adams of tho Fifth ward. Mr. Adams died yesterday morning following a long Illness Incident to old ago. Deceased was of Scotch do-sccnt, do-sccnt, having been born Juno 4, 1829, at Old Cralghall, Parish of Ivorlsk. He was therefore past his 88 th year. In tho year 1854 ho camo to Utah in tho Daniel Gam company and slnco that tlmo has been Identified with tho growth and development of tho state and church. A stono cutter by trade, ho worked for some time on tho St. Georgo temple and spent flvo years at his trade on tho building of tho Logan tomple. Mr. Adams was tho father of 19 children, 43 grand-children and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday In the Fifth ward chapel at 2 p. m. at which friends are Invited In-vited to attend. |
