Improsslvo.fun-eral Improsslvo.fun-eral sorvlces woro hold last Thursday Thurs-day afternoon In the First ward meeting liou&o over tho romalns ol Mrs. Maria Christiansen, who died on tho Sunday boforo. A largo gathering of relatives and friends wero present. Tho floral offerings wero unusually unusual-ly abundant and beautiful. Mrs. Christiansen had all her llfo been n lover of flowers. Her yard was full of beautiful flowers and Bho had supplied thorn for many townspeople for funerals, Decoration Day and tho like. Tho ward choir furnished appropriate appro-priate singing. During tho services Mads Kasmussen and Mrs. Mcllnda Liljenqulst sang a duet; Miss Victoria Vic-toria Olson renderod a piano solo, and Hxa. Wahlen sang a solo. Impressive and consoling remarks wero mado by Lars Petersen, Odson Wilson, James Unsworth, A. M. Isralelsen and Bishop McBrldo. Tho opening prayer was by A. J. Allen and benediction by Win. Murray. Tho doceased was born In Denmark, Den-mark, January 26, 1SS0. At tho ago of oloven years, she, with tho rest of tho family, Joined the church and emigrated to Utah and settled In Hyrum. Hor father, Soron Hansen, Han-sen, was ono of Hyrum's plpneer3. Mrs. Chrlstlanson had been an ac-tlvo ac-tlvo church member, and was for many years a worker In tho Relief Society. Sho was tho wlfo of Peter Christiansen, Christ-iansen, and is survived by her husband hus-band nnd n I no children. Mrs. Christiansen had been seriously seri-ously ill about a week. |
