Joseph Richardson, Rich-ardson, father of Mayor Josoph J-Illchardson J-Illchardson of this city, died hero on Friday evening, February 11, after an illness of nlno weeks. Ho was 84 years old, having been born in England, November 8, 1831, His parents par-ents wero among tho flrat to Join the church in England and carao to America Amer-ica with tho first company of saints to loavo England. Was a man who knew no fcor, waB true to any trust Hut was placed upon him. Ho was an exemplary citizen. Honest to tho coro, never haUng owed any man n cent in his wholo llfo. Ho lived tho llfo of a faithful Lattcrday saint, having been willing In early days to havo laid dn his Hfo for those who were leading tho church. In 18C2 he moved to 'Smlthflcld and has mado this his homo over slnco. In 18G9 he married Eliza L. Harper nnd his wife and seven children, chil-dren, (Ivo sons nnd two daughters stirvlvo him Josoph J., William, Parley Par-ley Illchard, Moses, Susio and Vanco, all of this city.
