Show NATHANIEL VAN-NOY VAN-NOY IS DEAD. Resident of Richmond Passes to Great Beyond. Council Meeting, Celebration Celebra-tion and Other News. Hit'iiMONit, July II. Nathaniel Van Noy, a respected resident of this place died Sunday evening, of brlghts disease. He came here from Hlver-dale, Hlver-dale, Idaho, some time ago, he having hav-ing to sell his farm on account of 111 health. Mr. Van Noy was 411 joars of ago and leaves a wlfo and seven children. chil-dren. The jouugest child Is seven vcarsold. His wife Is a daughter of W. 0. Lewis, an old pioneer of Hlch-mond, Hlch-mond, and a sister to Mrs. Dr. II. A, Adamson. The funeral service was held in the ward meeting house Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. A large crowd was present and the speakers all spoke well of the deceased de-ceased The ward choir rcndeied a number num-ber of pieces excellently, Council in Sesson. The city council held meeting last Monday evening. J. I. Shcpard and others presented a petition for a Ilfty j ear franchlso to extend their electric light wires through and over the city. After considerable discussion the petition was referred to the commltteo on streets for investigation. The date for this meeting was set for the 1'ilth or July. Tho county road question came up once more and laid over for one month. The people's Mercantile and Creamery Cream-ery Co. were granted permission to closo the side walk In front of their storo while the lcmodcllng of their building Is being carried on. A foot bridge was ordered placed over the sink on the J. T. K. Thompson Thomp-son coiner. John C. Harnett, of the 0. W. & M. Co. endevorcd to have their license reduced. John Barrett has accepted a position posi-tion with the Johnson Co., In Downey Ida. He left Wednesday for his new woi k. Mayor Grlflln, and Frank Hoblnson and wife left for Star Valley Friday and expect to bo gone ten days or two weeks, Chas. Oakley, the wine merchant of Dubois, Ida., Will Van Noy, (bother (bot-her known as Will Doriss) together with many from Hlvcrdalc came to Richmond to attend Nathaniel Van Noy's funeral Tuesday.
