Show OAE DEATH OCCURS The Smallpox Strictly Quarantined i Jacob Thenrer. Jr . son of Mr. Jacob Theuivr of Providence, died last Fridy night from a combination combina-tion of disease.- comprising uneu-monia uneu-monia and smallpox. The youug man was aged about 21 years, and his untimely death is a great blow to Lis parents aud relatives, with whom we sincerely sympathize. The disease is iu a very mild form and it is believed there will be no f arther spread, as a strict quarantine quaran-tine has been established. There has been but one new case uisuuvb 8iDue our last issue, ttiat of Robert Murdock, Jr., o' Loaan. He was 'ound to be suffering from a skin disease and it was decided to quarantine htm Monday evening. The other cases all over the county are progressing favorably. A num"-ber num"-ber of special policemen have been placed on guard. Dr. Boynton, who has been appointed to airect the quarantine measures in the coun-ty, coun-ty, announces that all diseases resembling smallpox in the county must beat once re"! ported to him. |
