Clemenson; and a discussion of "Earlier Fiction," by Mrs. Hulda Miller. Mr. Edward Edwards, a prominent promi-nent citizen of Cache Junction, was in Logan on business Monday. Mon-day. The gentleman states that the dry weather of the past fall has had an injurious effect on the wheat sown, and that the outlook is not at alt bright for a heavy yield the comins summer. The annual meeting of the Paradise Irrigation district was held this week at wrhich it was decided to. levy an assessment of 35 cents per share. The annual report showed over $300 in the treasury. Seven ' directors were elected, namely, J. P. James, J. C. MoMurdie, Robt.. Pearce. A. A Lemmon, D. M. Bickmore, John Welsh and James Lofthouse. 1 A wedding reception in honor of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ed Fletcher was given at the home of the groom's parents in this city Saturday Sat-urday evening. Mr. Fletcher was married at Pocatello on New Year's day, and brought his wife to Logan on a brief visit. The evening was greatly enjoyed and the young couple have the best wis nes of a large circle of frknds. The Presbyterian congregation congrega-tion is observing this as a wTeek of prayer. Services will be held each night at 7:30, with the exception ex-ception of Saturday. After service ser-vice Wednesday there will be a congregational meeting for the purpose of electing an elder. On Friday evening the Ladies' Missionary Mis-sionary society will hold their regular monthly meeting at which a special program will be feiven. I |
