Show W. W. COLE'S ELECTRIC-LIGHT SHOW. On August 13, this famous amusement enterprise will spread its acres of canvas temples in Logan and for the first time in this city will be placed on exhibition the wonderful electric light and all its intricate machinery. In each of the mammoth tents are three groups of the electric chambers, which suffice to turn the darkest night to the brightest day, and the effect produced is both dazzling and phenomenal, and the intense light can be distinguished miles away. Among the many other novelties which the great showman promises to bring are those human pyramids, Captain and Mrs. Bates, two giants who reach the enormous altitude of eight feet and still maintain all the physical beauty of mankind. A troupe of six imported stallions will also display their high standard of education by executing a number of military evolutions and assuming various difficult attitudes, and one of them will leap over four of his companions at a single bound. The mammoth Kansas ox weighing 3,100 pounds is also an important feature; and for the first time in this country, a genuine imported Spanish bull will be introduced in the ring. The animal indulges himself in a bullfight battle with his trainer and finally bears him from the ring upon his horns. Aside from these fresh features, Mr. Cole will bring a myriad of novelties in the circus line. The menagerie in connection is surprisingly large and taking the show all in all it is more than probable that its prototype has yet to be established. |
