Show IN TENEESSEE [TENNESSEE] Elder R.S. Spence, after laboring in Tennessee, in a letter dated Nov. 3d says: I expect to be located in this neighborhood for the winter. Every thing is quiet hereabouts at present, although mobbing and Ku Klux riding after the poor Mormons has been the order of the day for two months past--???? thanks to our Heavenly Father we have been preserved. I find you have plenty of correspondence from our Cache Valley boys, so anything I might write would no doubt only echo their sentiments. Hoping the LEADER as a financial and literary enterprise may fully realize your expectations. I remain your brother in the gospel. Robert S. Spencer. |
