Show PROVIDENCE NOTES. The pleasant little town of Providence is not behind in making improvements, as any one will perceive by taking a trip through the place. The people have erected and nearly finished a very substantial school house two stories high, which will, when finished, be equal to any in the county. This is something that has been needed for several years, as the one that has been in use for school purposes, has not been large enough to accommodate conveniently all those who wished to attend school; and the people are to be congratulated on the near completion of such a creditable building.

THE new store that has lately been built is conveniently arranged for carrying on an extensive business, and its usefulness will no doubt be appreciated by its owners and the people of the town generally.

HARVEST has just begun, and we should judge by the looks of the grain throughout the fields, that the people will be blest with full wheat bins this fall. |
