Confrel Walker-Richins Wedding Held Wednesday Four hundred friends and relatives rela-tives of Clyde Richins and his bride, the former Afton Walker, attended the wedding reception tendered them in the Pleasant Grove Second ward amusement hall February 25. The young couple was united in marriage .at 7 p. m. at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorln Walker, Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Margaret Richins of this city is the mother of the groom. In the bridal line with the young couple were Mrs. Robert Richins, American Fork, matron of honor; Miss La Veda Friedly, Miss Betty Whitehead and Miss Louise Ostergaard, Pleasant Grove, bridesmaids; Robert Lund, American Fork, best man; Mr. and Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Margaret Richins and her son, LeGrande Richins. A short program was enjoyed during the evening as well as dancing. Many lovely gifts were presented the newlyweded pair. They will make their home in Pleasant Grove, Mr. Richins be ing employed there. GLORIA PIERCE WED IN PORTLAND CEREMONY Gloria Pierce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Pierce, became the bride of Harold Middleton in a double ring ceremony performed perform-ed Feb. 20, by Bishop Spanky in the Portland chapel - of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. Lovely in an ivory satin gown, entrain, a veil of illusion taught to seed pearl clusters, she carried a bouquet of lilies and American Beauty roses. Mrs. William M. Pierce, Ameri can Fork, who attended her sister in-law as matron of honor, wore peach organdy. Her flowers were orchid and gold stock in a heart- shaped bouquet. Bridesmaids were Miss Lila Brown, Miss Blanche Tillman and Miss Beverly Bever-ly Dean, all of Portland. They wore pastel shades with fan-shaped fan-shaped bouquets of contrasting stock. "Wjlliam M. Pierce performed duties of best man. Little Rich ard Butler was ringbearer. Par ents of the bride made the trip to Portland to attend the wed ding. The young couple are now in their own home at 9414 S. E Yanhill, Portland, Ore. Main American Fork n 4 Second Ward Sets Date For Reunion Plans for the Second ward annual reunion are being made and the date has been set for April 1, the firthday of the present pres-ent ward. Thornton Young has been named general chairman and all ward organizations will assist The Relief Society will hold a bazaar in connection with the day's entertainment, there will be a picture show in the afternoon after-noon for the children, and in the evening a program, dance and eats. The Primary officers will have charge of the afternoon entertainment enter-tainment and will assist the Junior Jun-ior Sunday School and the Elders quorum with the food. Names Watermasters Watermasters, a secretary and treasurer were appointed at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the American Fork Irrigation company held in the city hall Tuesday evening. Leslie Searle was reappointed head watermaster and will also have charge of the East Mitchell ditch. Cemetery, North Field and West Field division will have Ray Lee as watermaster. Albert Rowley will be watermaster for the McArthur, Mott and Fort ditches; Ben Russon for the West Mitchell Ditch, and Ellis R. Terry for the East Bench division. George F. Shelley and Miss Lillie Shafter were reappointed secretary and treasurer, respec tively. Boy Scout News Highland Troop Scout Court of Honor was held in Highland Tuesday evening, March 2, William T. Hyde III, scoutmaster reports. Jimmie May 3, Wayne Roseman 6, Larrie White 4, and Quentin White 3. Cubs Den Six Sixth den of Cub scouts was organized last week which brings the total number of Cubs in tne city to 45. Den Six takes in the Richland Park and adjacent area. Bob Tracy is den chief, Jack Beighley, denner; Andrew Shel-ton, Shel-ton, assistant denner; Ronald Thomas, keeper of the buckskin; and members are Jon Bell, Tommy Tom-my MacMillan, Larry Ovard and Dallas Pulley. Reed Greenwood and David Ross are new members of Den Two, the Thornwood Drive area. Cub Picture Well Attended The moving picture show put on in the high school Monday evening of last week was fairly well attended, Fred Fish, cub-master, cub-master, reported. Designed to introduce Cub scouting to the public, the picture gave views of the actual work, the alms and objectives of the movement. Next Pack meeting will be held Friday, April 2, at the Presbyterian Presby-terian Community church. Cub Tack Meets Cub Pack 17 held its second meeting Friday night at the Presbyterian Community church with over 100 cubs, parents and visitors in attendance. District Scout leaders present were Thomas Tho-mas A. Walker, F. R. Ritz, John Laursen, Donald E. Young and Clyde Schreiber. Four of the five dens put on short novel and entertaining skits.
