Fifth Ward A splendid program will be presented pre-sented in the Fifth ward, portraying portray-ing the story of the Spirit of Christmas Christ-mas illustrated with song. J Nile Washburn will be the reader and the music will consist of a vocal solo, "The Holy City" by Bruce Nostrom; violin music by Alvin Woolschleger, Pauline Worl-ton Worl-ton and Milton Brown; selections by a girls chorus, under the direction direc-tion of Miss Ada Phillips; a male Quartet under the direction of Mrs. Lillian Knudsen; selection by a ladies la-dies trio, under the direction of Mrs. Isabel Brown and a selection, "We Three Kings' by Mario Gardner, Gard-ner, Ralph Larsen and Morris Schow; two selections by Kindergarten Kinder-garten department and one selection selec-tion by the Church History boys and girls. Organ accompaniment will be played by Alva H. Wing during the program. Explorer Group Organize In Lehi Fifth Ward On Tuesday evening, December 10, the Lehi Fifth ward Explorer group was organized and made plans to be registered in the next few weeks. The following boys took office: Duane Woffinden, Explorer leader; Ralph Wing, Senior first; Calvin Wilkerson, Senior second; Mario Gardner, recorder; FJwood Hunt, program chairman; Bill Hardman, reporter. Bee-Hive News On Tuesday evening, December 10, the First Year Bee-Hive Girls of the Second ward entertained in honor of the birthday anniversary of one of their members. Miss Bessie Turner. The girls each brought a birthday gift and enjoyed games during the evening. On Tuesday evening of this week (December 17) they held their annual an-nual Christmas party. The affair was a "pot luck party and the girls exchanged gifts. As a group the girls presented a Christmas gilt to their leader, Mrs. Annie L. Webb. Margaret Worlton, Reporter. Glen Royle left last Tuesday for Detroit, Michigan, to drive home a new car. While In the East he planned to visit points of interest. He is expected to arrive home this week. Well be seeing you during the Christmas Season at HAT'S SHACK- Christmas Music Festival Witnessed By Large Audience The Christmas music festival presented pre-sented Sunday, evening at 8:15 in the high school auditorium was witnessed wit-nessed by a very large audience, who proclaimed it a very outstanding outstand-ing success and one of the loveliest love-liest musical productions ever given in our community, practically every seat in the auditorium was filled. The affair was presented by the Chantante Chorus and the P.-T. A. Male chorus, both sponsored by the Parent-Teachers association. It was directed by Mrs. Isabel B. Brown with Miss LaPriel Goodwin as the accompanist. Readers were Mrs. Heber J. Webb and Mrs. Clell Jackson. Participating Partici-pating in the candle lighting were Sylvia Jean Bradshaw, Colleen Taylor, Tay-lor, Sandra Taylor, Michel Taylor, Corinne Gumey, Carolyn Whipple, Diana Robison and Donna Evans. Stage settings and decorations were very effective. Mr. J. J. Skinner on behalf of the Parent-Teacher association, presented pre-sented gifts to Mrs. Brown and Miss LaPriel Goodwin and a box of candy to the chorus members. Earlier Ear-lier In the evening the members of the chorus presented lovely corsages to Mrs. Brown and Miss Goodwin.
