Mrs. Ina Tietjen of Santaquin, and Mrs. Frank Nichols of Salt Lake City, are visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Evans this week. Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Eisenburg and family left last Wednesday , for their home in Los Angeles, California, after a two weeks stay at the home cf Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gunther. Fifteen friends pleasantly surprised Beth Stoker Saturday, the occasion being her thirteenth birthday anni versary. A variety of interesting games we're played and dainty refreshments re-freshments served. Miss Gay le Larsen returned home Sunday, after spending the past two weeks in Idaho, a guest of Miss Fay Taylor, While in Idaho she enjoyed a trip through Yellowstone Park. The Black and White 4-H Club met at the home of Mr. Stanley Clark Monday evening to decide on putting calves in the parade. Other business was taken up. Harold Clark, Club Reporter, Hospital Notes A fine baby boy arrived Monday morning at the local hospital to gladden the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noble Evans.1 Both mother and baby are getting along fine. Tax Amendment Question An RggTeBsive campaign to acquaint ac-quaint the people with the purpose and needs of the constitutional amendments which are to come be-fore be-fore the people at the fall elections was assured for Utah' County with the recent announcement from state headquarters of the Citizens' Tax Re-vision Re-vision League. As a result of conferences with a number of local leaders the league has appointed Eli J. Clayson, American Ameri-can Fork; R. J. Evans, Lehi; Wilford VV. Warnick Pleasant Grove; J. Elmer Elm-er Jacobsen, Provo; Wm. J. Thane, Prove; Amos N. Merrill, Provo; Mrs. C. B. Maw, Provo; Mrs. George S. Rallif, Trovo; John E. Booth, Spanish Span-ish Fork; Lee R. Taylor, Pay son; and Seymour Mendenhall Spring-ville, Spring-ville, to take leadership in the league's campaign this fall as district committeemen. " This committee will hold a meeting within the next few days and organize with a chairman and two vice-chairmen, who will represent rep-resent the county in the state executive execu-tive committee. The Citizens' Tax Revision League was formed in gait Lake recently with the election of W. W. Armstrong former chairman of the tax commission, commis-sion, as its president; Speaker David L. Stine of the house of representatives, representa-tives, David Hirschi of the House of representatives and Julian Bamberger, Bamberg-er, Salt Lake businessman as its vice-president. vice-president. The purpose of the organisation is to carry on a general educational campaign on behalf of its membership member-ship and the citizens generally to acquaint ac-quaint the people with the purposes and needs" of the constitutional amendments which will be voted at the fall elections. The league is nonpartisan non-partisan and is intended to become primarily a league of citizens who desire . to acquaint themselves with the proposed constitutional changes on which they will be expected to vote next November 4. Charles Carson of Idaho; Mrs. Ilattie Carson, Mr. .Mack Carson of Tooele and Mrs. Hannah Flack of Salt Lake City, were Sunday dinnei gnests'of Mr. and Mrs. David H, Carson Car-son and family. Mr. J. Harold Brinley of Pleasant Grove underwent a major operation at the hospital Monday. ' ' Leo Roberts was operated 6n Saturday Sat-urday for a large abscess on his leg. Helen and Billy Kirk of Helper, had their tonsils removed Monday at the hospital. LeRoy Lott had his heel operated oii at the local hospital Saturday. Mrs. J. E. Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Bradshaw returned home from a trip to Canada. They visited with relatives rela-tives in Magrath, Waterton Lake and Caldwell and report a splendid trin. Mr. R. W. Bradshaw returned to Lehi with them and will visit here for several days.
