It is presumed the fire was started from spontaneous combustion and the high wind fanned the flames making it much harder to get under control. The local fire department responded but did not have the proper equipment equip-ment with which to extinguish the fire. A call was sent in for the Pleasant Grove department and ithey having the proper fire equipment prevented it from doing further damage. Credit Duo I desire to write under the Influence of the spirit of the Lord. Ref ering to an article which appeared appear-ed in the columns of this paper recently re-cently and which paid a splendid tribute tri-bute to the faithful and long services of a bishop who had just been honorably honor-ably released from that office, all of which the writer indorses most heartily. It occurs to the writer, however, that during all this time there were two splendid counselors who are en titled to some credit and praise for surely they, too, have served long and faithful with the bishop. I believe it was in February, 1920, that the Fifth ward was organized with Andrew Fjeld as bishop and Morgan S. Lott as first counselor and Dr. William L. Worlton as second counselor and for seven and one-half years they have labored shoulder to shoulder. I believe it is a nice thing to say a kind word occasionally about people while they are yet living and not wait till the funeral service, therefor to the brethren who have served well, may the Lord bless you and may you re main faithful to the end.
