The ballet takes place light-hearte- d in the French countryside in the late 1880's. It is a story of matchmaking and courtship, rudely interrupted by the antics of La Coquette (the flirt). It is colorful and funny, and delights adults as well as children. The scenery and costumes, along with the dancing, make this a most memorable ballet. La Coquette will be performed by Christina Gee. Brittnee Colledge, Natalie Kirkham and Jessica Shippen will perform the roles of La Coquette's sisters. Other roles include Johnny Revill as LaMere, Steve Best as the gardener, Kevin Ostler as the student, Boyd Stout as the sailor and Vance Debes as the policeman. Other dancers include Jacqueline Toler, Melissa Davis, Amy Peterson and Steffanie Ackerman. Tickets are on sale for $7, with a $2 discount for students, faculty and seniors. They can be purchased at the McKay Events Center ticket office or phone 764- - benefit corporation in residency at Utah Valley State College.
