Sabey Paul Glenn Sabey, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sabey, plans a career in college. He has been a member of the Biology Club and track team in high school, and participates in singing groups.. He is a prospective graduate from LDS Seminary this spring and assists as Seminary organist. History and mathematics are favorite subjects at school and he takes a keen interest in reading and music. Active in all sports, he especially likes swimming. Through varied church activities, he has attained his Duty to God award, and five individual awards. He is serving as ward organist and is also organist for the Priesthood groups. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 13 years, and has five Palms. He has served as Den Chief in the Cub Scout program and also as assistant scoutmaster. Active as a ward teacher, he has also seerved as a quorum officer several times. Musical assignments have included organist in the MIA and assistant organist in Sunday School. During the summer he has worked on farms and at the Saratoga Resort, and is presently employed at Price Brothers IGA Market. Paul Robinson Brent Jones Larry Miner and also likes to sing and play the guitar for recreation and special groups. Ward dramatics have also been included. He is a prospective graduate of LDS Seminary this spring. Football is a favorite sport and he also takes part in out doors sports with hunting and fishing included. He is an Eagle Scout with palm and has also achieved the "Duty to God" award for church activity. Science and mathematics are named as favorite subjects, with reading and skiing as recreational pursuits. The study of music ar is his aim. awards and is eligible for his "Duty to God" award for church activities. He has served in the presidency of his priesthood quorums, is MIA secretary and sings in his wqrd choir. He is looking forward to joining in the five days international conference of Explorer Scouts this summer at BYU. He has followed part time employment with his grandfather on the farm. James Magnusson r; v j i i Blainee Carlton Blaine Carlton, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Carlton, is business manager for the High School student body A member of the National Honor Society, he has achieved the degree of distinction in debate and represented his school on the state team. He was a delegate to the Model United Nations, representing Ecuador. He is a member of the Thespian Club and carried a leading role in the school play. He played basketball on the Junior varsity team, served on the Sophomore Slide committee and was dance director for his Junior Prom. He is a prospective graduate of the LDS Seminary this spring. Recreation includes playing the guitar and all types of sports He has attained his individual awards for church activity. He plans to continue his education in college with an aim to practice law. Paul Robinson Athletics have been a special interest for Paul H. Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard W. Robinson, who has lettered in track, football and wrestling. Mathematics and the sciences are favorite subjects and college is planned with an aim toward a career in medicine. He has sung in the a capella choir at school -tf Physics and mathematics are the most appealing subjects for James (Jim) L. Magnusson, son of Mr .and Mrs. James C. Magnusson, who is looking forward to college and engineering study. He builds model cars for his collection. He has gone out for all types of athletics at school and has lettered in track for two years. He was freshman class president, attended the model United Nations and will graduate, from LDS Seminary this year. He plays the piano and sings and is also singing in the Third Ward choir. He has achieved his individual awards, is a Star Scout and has served as assistant dance director in his ward for the Gold and Green Ball. He will dance in the June festival for MIA conference. The trampoline is a favo rite recreation and he also inclu des fishing and hunting in this classification. He has been employed part time in a meat packing plant. Brent Jones Music plays an important part in the busy schedule of Brent M. Jones, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Jones. He plays the piano and is currently teach- ing a group of students. He has attained his "Duty to God" award, has served as secretary for his Teachers' Quorum and is scouting leader for the Guide Patrol in the Seventh Ward. He is serving on the "steering committee" for the International LDS Explorer Conference to be held at Brigham Young University this summer. He was one of a groutf from Lehi who attended the Explorer conference in San Diego, Calif. He will graduate from LDS Seminary this year. He has been employed during the summer in surveying operations' with his father. Prominent in debating and public speaking, he is affiliated with the National Forensic League, holding a degree of excellence. He received the "Superior" rating J Van Wagoner Scouting activities and achievements have highlighted the career of Richard S. Van Wagoner, who is a son of Mrs. Gayle Van Wagoner Rated as an Eagle Scout with nine palms, he was elected to office in the Order of. the Arrow and was chosen "Scout of the Year," for 1961 He is an emergency service explorer, a scout lifeguard and has won the mile swim award. The duties of junior assistant scoutmaster and Guide Patrol leader have been included. He is a member of the honor society at school and will graduate from LDS Seminary this spring. He plays trumpet and French horn in the band and is a member of the "A" rated woodwind quintette. Mathematics, English and History are favorite subjects. He is active in basketball, swimming and other sports. He has attained the Duty to God award for church activities, and has five 100 per cent individual awards He has served as president of his Teachers quorum and has been feaured on "Spotlight on Youth." He follows employment during the summer on assignments for Lehi City. 12-13- 33 Dennis Hadfield An Eagle Scout, who has also achieved his "Duty to God" award for church activities, Dennis Hadfield is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber G. Hadfield. He has won five individual awards and played on the Third Ward softball team which took second place honors in the tournament last summer. He will graduate from the LDS Seminary this spring. He has lettered in football, bas ketball and baseball in high school, playing on the varsity teams. Reading is a favorite recreation and his plans for the future in clude a college education.
