Peterson of Provo was brought to the Lehi hospital during the week-en- d suffering from a fractured right leg, a fractured right shoulder, body bruises and lacerations by a Mr. Richards of si California. Miss Peterson was hitchhiking on the state highway, near Sandy, when she saw a cat across the highway. Intending to pick the cat up, Miss Peterson started across the highway, directly in front of the car driven by Mr. Richards.. She was knocked rtown bv the Richards car. As Mr. Richards was driving south he rushed the injured girl to the Lehi Hospital, remaining at the hospital all night and during the next day until he saw the girl out of danger, then continued his journev. He was exonerated of all blame of the accident.
