Col. Joseph H. Battaglia, Hill AFB commander, accepted the Golden Key Award at the ninth annual presentation ceremony in Salt Lake City. Hill AFB was recognized for contributions made in opening doors to for opportunities qualified disabled people. New Office At Base to Save Money t In order to inHILL AFB crease contract competition, the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB has created the directorate of competition advocacy. Sheldon Eppich is the director of this new office. The directorates mission will be to identify, plan, 'manage and .promote all programs aimed' at saving Air Force money through all purchasing function areas. Ogden Air Logistics Centers office was established in January 1983 with four employees. Because of the emphasis and success of this effort it will be . expanded and reorganized to include 134 employees by the end of this year, Eppich said.
