A reception to kick off the show will be held on April 17 from 2 to 5 p.m. Entry forms for artists who wish to enter work may be picked up at the center at 2175 South Main Street in Bountiful. Forms may be mailed to entrants who request them by telephone at Regular gallery hours run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Fridays, Monday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m., and every Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. This years competition is limited to current Davis County residents only. All work must be original in nature, not copies. Acceptable mediums are painting, drawing, and prints. A entry fee of $10 per artist will be charged, and artists may submit up to three pieces. Applications will be accepted until April 8. This cutoff date is necessary to provide adequate preparation time for the contestants. ; Miss Bountiful Area will participate in the Miss Utah contest, to be held in Orem in June. The Miss Bountiful Area Pageant will be held on April 29, in the Viewmont High School auditorium, at 7:30 p.m. The young lady chosen to be Miss Bountiful Area 1983 will represent six southern cities of Davis County, Farmington, :Centerville, West Bountiful, Woods Cross, Bountiful and North Salt Lake. She will be sponsored in the Miss Utah contest by the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce. And she will also represent the area at numerous social and civic events throughout the year of her reign. She will compete for the title of Miss Utah and the chance to represent the State of Utah at the Miss America Pageant in September in Atlantic City, N.J.
