Miss Thiros, who was born in Athens, Greece, began her ballet and baton training at the age of 5. She performed with Ballet West in the production of The Nutcracker Suite for six years and has won four Miss Majorette titles in Utah and the intermountain area. She was chosen Miss Drill Intermountain States and was the first Miss Drill Team Utah in 1976.
