The bid accepted from Fred Schroader Insurance Company in The major area included in the new policy which previously had not been in with the county was that of the Sheriffs Department. one policy. Layton was the high bid of the two insurance bids received by the county, but was felt by the county to be the better of the two policies The Schroader company bid of $54,884 was described by Commissioner Harry Gerlach as being a more thorough coverage policy than the one submitted by Barlow Realty and Insurance Company in Layton for $51,201.
